Admissions

Laughton All Saints' C of E Admission Arrangements

** Important Notice: we have put forward a proposal for a change of Admission Arrangements for our school. The change reflects the Academy Trust's desire to ensure that our school prioritises places for children living locally. This is a move away from prioritizing church attendance. The full details can be found in the attached, proposed policy:

Letter to Families re Admission Consultation November 24

Proposed Admission Arrangements 2026 2027

Dear families,

We are really proud of our school and look forward to meeting new pupils and their parents and carers. Choosing the right school for your child is a big decision and we understand the importance of getting this right from the start.

Below, you will find key information about applying for Nursery and school places as well as the procedures for applying for places in other year groups, mid-year. If you have any further questions, please feel happy to get in touch with us by telephone. We are more than happy to help.

Starting Nursery School

At Laughton All Saints, we offer both 15 hour and 30 hour funded places for Nursery-aged children. Children can join us from the term after they turn 3 years old.

You can apply for a nursery place for your child if they are born between:

  • 1 September and 31 December – your child is eligible from the start of the Spring Term in January
  • 1 January and 31 March – your child is eligible from the start of the Summer Term in April
  • 1 April and 31 August – your child is eligible from the start of the Autumn Term in September

Registration and applications for a place in our Nursery class can be made by contacting the school office, on 01909 550531 or emailing office@las.dsat.education.

Starting Primary School - September 2026

If your child was born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022, the closing date to apply for a primary school place for September 2026 is 15th January 2026.

Applications for a place in Reception should be made through the Rotherham Council Website - Primary School Admissions  If you live outside of the Rotherham area, your local council will contact you to advise their admission arrangements, even if you want to apply to a Rotherham school.

Late applications are processed after Offer Day and may reduce your chances of getting a preferred school.

National offer date is 16th April 2026. Parents will be emailed their decision, using the email account used to apply.

In-year admissions for each class

Parents can apply for a place at Laughton All Saints for their children at any time of the year. Again, applications should be made through the RMBC website - https://www.rotherham.gov.uk/schools-schooling/transferring-school-school-year

If you have any questions in relation to the admissions process, please contact the school office on 01909 550531 or office@las.dsat.education. Prospective parents and children are welcome to visit the school to look round and meet our staff team.
